THE apartment: Located just a few minutes' walk from both Farringdon and Chancery Lane stations in London’s Hatton Garden area. There are 24 units consisting of studios, one and two-bedroom apartments and penthouses.
The Check-In: We were cheerfully greeted by the concierge on arrival, who subsequently helped unload our car and then showed us to our apartment. There is
a key-controlled door to the street for added security and there is someone on duty at the front desk around the clock.
The ApartmenT: Our two-bed apartment was very spacious and featured a very well equipped kitchen and bright roomy bathrooms. Amenities in the apartment included flat-screen televisions in the lounge area and both bedrooms, an iron and ironing board, dishwasher, hairdryer, DVD players and a washer/dryer. There was a dining table for six people in the lounge, plus a breakfast bar with two stools. The bedrooms contained one double bed and two single beds respectively and both had more than ample storage space. The apartment was air-conditioned throughout and also had a small balcony running the length of it. The whole building is a non-smoking property.
The Business: There were no meetings rooms, but wifi internet access was available throughout the property.
The Facilities: The apartment had its own telephone number and direct line. There's no car park but guests can use the facilities of a neighbouring property which is five minutes' walk away. Also conveniently located nearby is a Sainsbury’s store.
The Check-Out: Very straightforward. The concierge collected our bags from the room and delivered them to our car which was waiting outside.|
The Verdict: A very nice apartment which is rightly ‘sold’ as a five-star experience. Very conveniently located for access to the City or West End. The building also benefits from green technology resulting in over ten per cent of its energy use coming from renewable and self-sustaining sources.
