Music City hits right notes with BA

British Airways is to launch a new service to Nashville next spring.

The airline plans to operate a five-times-a-week flight between London Heathrow and ‘America’s Music City’ from May, becoming the only airline flying direct between Europe and Tennessee’s capital.

The service will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, with flight BA223 departing from Heathrow at 15.45 and arriving into Nashville Airport at 18:50. Flight BA222 will leave Nashville at 20.20, arriving into London at 10.30 the next day.

Services will be operated by Boeing 787-8 aircraft, with return fares in World Traveller starting from £749, £1,196 in World Traveller Plus and £1,849 in Club World.

The addition means BA and its joint venture partner American Airlines will together operate up to 67 flights per day between London and the US next summer.

BA is also increasing its operations to both Philadelphia and Phoenix from a daily service to ten flights a week from Heathrow, and will also be introducing the A380 on one of its two daily flights to Chicago.
